About
South Metropolitan Health Service awarded a contract to Centigrade Medical Gases Pty Ltd for the upgrade of the Tool Air (TA) system plant at Fremantle Hospital.
The contract delivered removal of the existing TA dryer and filtration and the purchase, installation and connection of a new TA dryer and filtration system, including associated pipework, to achieve air quality in line with Australian Standards.
The scope included purchase of the plant, demolition and installation of the plant, electrical works including connection to the Building Management System (BMS), and commissioning and certification of the system.
Centigrade Medical Gases was responsible for the supply of plant, labour and equipment and for ensuring all works complied with the relevant Australian and safety standards.
Hospital utility upgrades of this type are typically awarded to specialist medical gas or HVAC contractors able to combine equipment supply, demolition/installation, electrical/BMS integration and certified commissioning to meet regulatory and safety requirements.
