- Consolidates Commonwealth large market electricity contracts in NT
- RFT published 12 October 2026
The Department of Finance is seeking suppliers to provide electricity services under a whole-of-government arrangement for the Northern Territory, with bids due 12 November, according to a notice on AusTender.
Finance says it will use a Whole of Australian Government coordinated procurement arrangement for the territory. The arrangement will consolidate separate Commonwealth entities' large market electricity contracts into a single framework. The approach brings Commonwealth buyers in the territory into one buying framework for large market electricity.
The framework is intended to support the Australian Government's 2023 Net Zero in Government Operations Strategy, advance APS renewable electricity targets and improve energy efficiency. Suppliers are sought to deliver electricity services covered by that framework in the Northern Territory.
The request for tender was published on 12 October 2026. Bids close on 12 November 2026. It is a Request for Tender and not a panel arrangement. The notice states no value.
