About

Defence is seeking a Managing Contractor through a two-stage procurement to deliver an Alternate Energy Solution (AES) for the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) at Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt in Exmouth, Western Australia. Capital Facilities and Infrastructure (CFI) branch is managing this Commonwealth-funded facility project with an approved or estimated capital value of $80,000,000–$100,000,000. The AES is intended to supplement power from the existing DARC diesel power station, is specified to achieve no less than a 43% renewable energy mix (with opportunities to increase the renewable share during design development), and is expected to take the form of a solar array and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
