Insurance and Care NSW (icare) is seeking a supplier to provide claims management services for the NSW Self Insurance Corporation's General Lines insurance portfolios and managed schemes, supporting the Treasury Managed Fund (TMF), Construction Risk Insurance Fund (CRIF) and Special Liability Insurance Scheme (SLIS) across New South Wales. Services sought include loss notification recording and claims administration, indemnity and liability assessment, claims investigation, evaluation and determination, case and litigation management, management of third‑party service providers, approval and administration of claim‑related treatments and payments, claims records management, reporting and financial/accounting activities, and provision and ongoing support of a contemporary claims management technology platform. The General Lines portfolios comprise Medical Negligence / Malpractice, Abuse, General Liability, Property and Motor; providers may propose for one or more individual portfolios or all portfolios collectively and the final operating model and number of providers will be determined through the RFP evaluation. The procurement aims to deliver contemporary, efficient and effective claims management that improves customer and stakeholder outcomes, strengthens governance and reporting, enhances operational efficiency, supports reduction of claims liabilities and incorporates technology, data and analytics to enable informed decision‑making and continuous improvement.
