About

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking an experienced and qualified contractor to construct Cell 2, a new engineered landfill cell adjoining the existing operational Cell 1 at Bowen Landfill, 908 Bowen Development Road (Lot 225 SP106414), Bowen QLD 4805. The facility operates under Environmental Authority EPPR00920813. A non-mandatory tender briefing is scheduled for Thursday, 20 August 2026 at 12.30 am, commencing at Whitsunday Regional Council's Bowen Administration Building, 67 Herbert Street, Bowen Qld 4805 and proceeding to a site visit (see Clause 5 of the Conditions of Tender). PPE is required to attend the site visit, at minimum hi-vis long-sleeved shirt, full-length pants and steel cap boots; please confirm attendance via [email protected] no later than Midday Wednesday, 19 August 2026.
