MidCoast Council is seeking a supplier for a five-year contract to purchase, collect, transport, sort, process and lawfully recycle or sell ferrous and non‑ferrous scrap metal and used lead‑acid batteries, including compliant on-site refrigerant recovery and degassing of refrigerators, freezers and air‑conditioning equipment prior to collection. Collections will be undertaken from Council Waste Management Facilities at Taree, Tuncurry, Gloucester, Stroud, Bulahdelah and Tea Gardens; standard collection requests must commence within three weeks and a limited number of urgent requests within one week.
