The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is seeking a provider to deliver a structured, evidence-informed Online Mindfulness Program nationally over three years to support the mental health and wellbeing of veterans and their families. The program must be accessible across all regions of Australia, including rural and remote areas, and be grounded in recognised therapeutic or mindfulness frameworks. Delivery will be entirely online via secure video conferencing, primarily in a group-based format with individual onboarding or follow-up where appropriate, and must be safe, inclusive, trauma-aware, culturally appropriate, adaptable to different levels of participant readiness, and flexible with options outside standard business hours. The program is intended to complement Open Arms existing counselling services as a soft-entry, preventative support and should achieve outcomes such as improved use of mindfulness strategies, enhanced coping and emotional regulation, reduced trauma- and stress-related symptoms, increased access to preventative resources, and stronger long-term wellbeing through sustained practice and peer connection.
