About

The Customer (Commonwealth) is seeking water market intermediaries to identify and present water entitlement purchase opportunities from willing sellers to recover water for the Commonwealth’s Bridging the Gap program under the Murray‑Darling Basin Plan. Required services include promoting and marketing the Bridging the Gap water recovery program, working with sellers to complete the appropriate application forms, and facilitating communication between the Customer and sellers about acceptance of offers; intermediaries will not hold any Commonwealth funds or water entitlements. In early 2026, successful suppliers who have entered into a contract as a result of this ATM will be issued instructions relating to a tender to purchase permanent water entitlements in the NSW Namoi and NSW Border Rivers catchments.
