Queensland Rail is issuing a forward notification and will seek to engage a Principal Contractor under a Design & Construct delivery model to deliver the West Moreton Bridge Renewal Stage 2 project, involving replacement of four existing timber rail bridges at two locations on the Rosewood to Toowoomba section (chainages 56.600 km and 59.230 km). The future works will broadly include design and construction of new concrete ballast deck bridges, demolition of the existing structures, associated track, formation, drainage and access works, plus testing, certification and handover. Works will be delivered within a live operational rail environment and will require construction planning and staging to accommodate rail possession and access constraints.
