About
Department for Infrastructure and Transport awarded a contract to Swart and Sons P/L for cleaning and protective treatment of Ferry 870-010 'Pelican'.
The Department owned and maintained 13 ferries within South Australia, and the work formed part of the ongoing River Murray Ferry Refurbishment program, under which regular remedial work of ferry hulls was required.
The contract covered preparation of the hull surface for a new protective coating system, including removal of deteriorated paintwork and re-painting of the interior and exterior of the hull.
