About
Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage awarded a contract to Stantec Australia Pty Ltd for a road planning study to develop 15 percent concept road design drawings and land protection plans for a suitable Other Regional Roads (ORR) alignment for Elliott Road and Sydney Road, including sections of Joyce Road and Franklin Road, within the Mid‑Tier Transport Corridor (MTTC) study area in East Wanneroo.
The study was intended to inform the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) and the City of Wanneroo on the latest 15 percent concept designs and land protection measures for the MTTC within the Perth Metropolitan Region Scheme to support future local government development decisions.
15% concept designs and land protection plans are early-stage, statutory-informing deliverables used to define corridor alignment and land reservation in regional planning; such studies provide the technical basis for mapping and coordination between state planning authorities and local government.
