About
Department of State Development awarded a contract to South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute for the extension of services for the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) facility, the South Australian Genomics Centre (SAGC).
The contract supported enhancement of the State’s capacity for undertaking world-class research and for research–industry collaboration, and contributed to the State’s ability to attract competitive Commonwealth Government research and innovation grant funding and to support the growth of businesses aligned to the State’s priority industry sectors located in South Australia.
The award invested in sustaining a national research infrastructure node by assigning operation and service extension to an established research institute (SAHMRI), reinforcing state capability to compete for Commonwealth research grants and to foster industry-linked research activities.
