About
Coliban Region Water Corporation awarded a contract to S&R Engineering and Construction for increasing the Mitiamo storage capacity by installing additional 500KL (10 x 50KL) poly tanks, while keeping the existing 150KL (3 x 50KL) poly tanks reserved for separate town supply via tankers in the event of a BGA outbreak.
The works also include relocating existing pumps into a new pump station/shed and simplifying suction and delivery pipework.
This contract reflects proactive water infrastructure planning to ensure supply resilience during contamination events, a common concern for regional water authorities.
