About
Department of Education awarded a contract to DSF Literacy and Clinical Services (The Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation WA (Inc)) for the provision of services to support public school students and their families with specific learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia.
The contract complemented the Department's internal programs under the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy (DCSP) and delivered support and advocacy for students and their families, subsidised clinical and therapeutic services for identified students, and professional support, consultation and expert advice to Department staff.
These engagements used community-based specialist providers to supplement departmental services; suppliers that combined literacy assessment, clinical/therapeutic interventions, family advocacy and staff consultation were aligned with the contract requirements.
