Department of Education and Training awarded a contract to Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for access to the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) and related assessment services over a 36-month period.
The contract supported the Northern Territory Climate Change Response: Towards 2050 – Three Year Action Plan requirement for government agencies to have emissions reduction action plans and to report annually on emissions and reduction activities.
DCCEEW granted access to the NABERS online system and provided quality assurance, rating platform energy and water updates, rules updates, NTG staff training, and program and technical support to enable Department of Education and Training and DIPL representatives to undertake data assessments for the required reporting.
The contract engaged the national environment department to deliver platform access and specialist technical support, reflecting reliance on centralised rating systems and expert program services to fulfil government emissions reporting and building-efficiency commitments.
