About
Department of Health (Royal Street) awarded a contract to Leaders IT Services Pty Ltd for the provision of a Network Architect to support CHIIP Phase 2, Stage 3.
The contract covered work to uplift end-of-life network infrastructure and address network security vulnerabilities across more than 460 WA Health sites, improve network reliability to support patient care and safety, and enable digital initiatives including the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program.
The engagement formed part of the total uplift and service transition to a contemporary network infrastructure with managed services support, with the uplift and transition works expected to continue for the next three years.
The contracted Network Architect role was client- and vendor-facing, required taking the lead in meetings and proactively resolving issues as they occurred.
The award aligned directly with CHIIP Phase 2 objectives to remediate audit findings and modernise multi-site network infrastructure, reflecting the need for specialist external IT architecture capability to coordinate vendor and client activities during a large-scale service transition.
