About
Department of Health (Royal Street) awarded a contract to OneStep Group (OneStep Group (WA) Ltd Pty) for the provision of a Senior Network Consultant to support CHIIP Phase 2, Stage 3.
The role supported the total uplift of end-of-life network infrastructure and the service transition to a contemporary network infrastructure with managed services across more than 460 WA Health sites.
The contract aimed to address network infrastructure security vulnerabilities, implement remediation arising from the Office of the Auditor General’s General Computer Control audit findings for all of WA Health, and improve network reliability to further enhance patient care and safety and enable future digital initiatives including the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program.
CHIIP was four years into Phase 2 at award, the uplift and service transition works were expected to continue for the next three years, and the appointed consultant was required to perform a client- and vendor-facing role capable of leading meetings and proactively resolving issues as they occurred.
The award emphasized senior, client- and vendor-facing technical consultancy to support a large-scale, multi-year managed service transition addressing audit remediation and infrastructure uplift across 460+ sites, highlighting procurement priorities for suppliers with experience in complex health network transformations.
