About
Department of Lands, Planning and Environment awarded a contract to Charles Darwin University for delivery of a scaled 3D model of the Adelaide River catchment, two 3D-printed cross sections and an integrated data-projection system that enabled projection augmentation of spatial datasets and data model outputs.
The contract included supply of 3D projection equipment and mounting equipment, and provision of system training and mentoring.
The delivered system was used as a communication tool to demonstrate modelled flow regimes for the Adelaide River Water Allocation Plan.
The contract combined physical model fabrication, projection hardware and training to support communication of hydrological model outputs for the Adelaide River Water Allocation Plan, reflecting a focus on stakeholder-facing visualization tools in water resource planning.
