About
Department of Justice awarded a contract to Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) (Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (Aboriginal Corporation)) for the provision of General Practitioner (GP) services to offenders in custody at Broome Regional Prison (13 Hamersley Street, Broome WA 6725).
The Justice Health and Wellbeing Service of the Department of Justice was responsible for provision of healthcare to offenders in custody in Western Australia, and the contract required delivery of healthcare to the same standard as that available in the community in accordance with the Standard Guidelines for Corrections in Australia (2012) (Community Equivalence).
Under the contract BRAMS was engaged to provide suitably qualified practitioner(s) or organisation-level GP services to deliver primary medical care to detainees at Broome Regional Prison.
