Western Australian Tourism Commission awarded a contract to The Walshe Group (The Walshe Group Pty Ltd) for the provision of trade services and trade public relations representation on the East Coast of Australia.

The contractor provided WA representation across the key priority markets of Victoria (VIC), New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland (QLD), and in secondary interstate markets as required (South Australia, Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania).

The contractor developed and implemented an Annual Trade Engagement Plan, including a schedule of training and incentive programs (including familiarisations), delivered trade training and ongoing travel trade engagement activities intended to increase WA visitation, yield and dispersal from target markets, maintained communications with industry, government and key stakeholders including travel trade and travel media, provided in-market support to Tourism WA’s destination and events PR team for implementation of consumer and trade PR strategies and activities, and supplied industry insights, reported trends and implemented trade engagement and PR strategies to bolster Tourism WA’s domestic marketing efforts.
