About
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development awarded a contract to Jalyadi Rural Fencing (Jalyadi Rural Fencing Pty Ltd) for the replacement of ten floodways along the State Barrier Fence in the Murchison Region.
The works included replacing, reposting, and/or installing new wire over existing wire, as well as installation of swinging flood panels.
DPIRD provided all fencing materials and pre-fabricated floodway panels.
The contractor was required to have suitable plant and equipment to access remote locations and complete installations.
This contract supports agricultural biosecurity by maintaining the State Barrier Fence, which protects pastoral and agricultural areas from wild dog and emu incursions.
