Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to Enviro Infrastructure (Enviro Infrastructure Pty Ltd) for the provision of a civil structures maintenance crew to deliver cyclic and ad-hoc maintenance, construction, upgrades and minor capital/operational works on the Network & Infrastructure (N&I) Civil Branch assets.

The service supported safe and reliable train operations by maintaining bridges, footbridges, underpasses and culverts across the PTA network.

The scope of the amendment work was limited to provision of a first structures maintenance crew comprising 1x Supervisor (optional with Protection Officer Level 1 Accreditation), 2x Leading Hand (optional with Protection Officer Level 1 Accreditation), 2x Carpenter/Welder (Boilermaker) and Protection Officer staffing of 1x PO1, or 2 with PRES, or 3 with PRES to meet required safe working arrangements.

The PO1 was not required for work that took place outside the rail reserve where safe working arrangements were not required.

The contract covered ongoing maintenance, repair, upgrade and minor new works necessary to preserve operability, reliability and compliance of PTA civil assets.
