About
Department of Logistics and Infrastructure awarded a contract to Demountable Sales & Hire Pty Ltd for the purchase, hire and installation of an evacuation camp at Batchelor in response to the Tropical Low flood event (Mar 26) in the Top End.
The contract was intended to provide urgently required supplies and services to establish an evacuation camp to ensure timely provision of safe accommodation and essential facilities for displaced residents.
The scope included supply, hire, installation and rapid mobilisation of demountable accommodation and associated facilities.
An open and competitive process was not practicable due to the time-critical nature and the need for rapid mobilisation and integrated delivery.
