About
Department of Housing, Local Government and Community Development awarded a contract to Akron Group NT Pty Ltd for repairs, maintenance and minor works on a portfolio of approximately 3,200 government-owned and leased public, industry, government employee and social housing properties in the Darwin Region for a 24-month period.
The procurement divided the Darwin Region into four geographical zones (Zone 1 Darwin, Zone 2 Casuarina, Zone 3 Palmerston and Zone 4 Greater Darwin Rural) and provided that within each zone a nominated contractor would undertake repairs and maintenance and minor works to maintain dwellings in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act.
The procurement sought suitably trade-qualified and experienced contractors to deliver the required works.
