About
Department of Logistics and Infrastructure awarded a contract to Totem Fencing Pty Ltd for the replacement of the existing perimeter fencing at Maningrida Aerodrome.
The works comprised removal of the existing fencing; construction of new security fencing in accordance with DLI Standard Drawing CS3308, including footings, strainers, posts, barbed wire and gates; and disposal of all redundant materials off-site.
The project aimed to enhance aerodrome security and operational safety by reducing wildlife access to the runway area and limiting unauthorised entry onto aerodrome property.
The contract specified compliance with a named DLI standard drawing and included removal, installation and off-site disposal, indicating procurement emphasis on technical conformity and contractors able to deliver end-to-end site works.
