Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts awarded a contract to Tract Consultants Pty Ltd for a strategic land use and development study covering approximately 900 hectares of Crown Land on the Seven Mile Peninsula.
The study area was located in southern Tasmania in the municipality of Clarence on the eastern shore of the Derwent River, approximately 25 kilometres east of Hobart.
The contract required the consultant to produce a contemporary strategic vision to assist the Tasmanian Government with future planning and policy development and to provide a framework for decisions about the future management and use of the area.
The scope included a comprehensive consultation program with community and key stakeholders as part of the study development.
