About
Department of Fire and Emergency Services awarded a contract to Amristar Solutions Pty Ltd for cloud-based (software-as-a-service) Bushfire Risk Management System (BRMS) software licensing, hosting, maintenance and support.
The BRMS supported mapping and assessment of bushfire risks and the delivery of the Bushfire Risk Management (BRM) Program to local government and State agency stakeholders, assisted in the development and implementation of local government BRM Plans in accordance with Western Australian Guidelines for Preparing a BRM Plan, and supported statewide reporting and the submission of Mitigation Activity Fund Grants Program (MAFGP) applications by local governments.
The current BRMS was a custom product aligned to Western Australia’s risk assessment methodology.
The contract provided ongoing licensing, hosting, maintenance and support to enable continued development and execution of BRM Plans in participating local governments and to allow expansion of the program to additional local governments identified as having substantial bushfire risk.
The award maintained continuity of a jurisdiction-specific BRMS platform that is required for local governments to prepare endorsed BRM Plans and submit MAFGP grant applications, underscoring the supplier’s operational importance to statewide bushfire risk governance.
