About
Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics awarded a contract to Bluedust Solutions as Trustee for The Bluedust Unit Trust for the supply and construction of a new heavy-duty Camel Proof fence at Engawala Aerodrome in the Alice Springs Region.
The scope included clearing vegetation along the fence line, installing the new fence on the outer perimeter within 0.5m of the existing fence while maintaining aerodrome operations, and demolishing the existing fence after construction.
All salvaged materials were handed over to the council.
This contract highlights the need for specialized fencing solutions in remote Australian aerodromes to manage wildlife and maintain operational continuity.
