About

Corrective Services NSW is seeking a provider to deliver an ACCO-led, culturally responsive domestic and family violence intervention program for Aboriginal men in custody at identified NSW correctional centres. The successful provider must deliver culturally safe, evidence-informed interventions that address domestic and family violence offending behaviours and support positive behaviour change, provide participant engagement and support throughout program delivery, deliver services through appropriately qualified and culturally capable personnel, collaborate with Corrective Services NSW staff and relevant stakeholders, establish appropriate referral and support pathways, monitor participation, completion and agreed program outcomes, and supply required program, performance and outcome reporting. Service locations will be determined by identified need, Aboriginal male offender populations, domestic and family violence offence profiles and operational requirements.

This opportunity will be most relevant to ACCOs, Aboriginal community organisations and providers experienced in custody-based, culturally responsive domestic and family violence programs who can supply culturally capable, qualified staff and evidence-informed interventions. Key considerations include operating within correctional centre operational and security constraints, coordinating closely with Corrective Services NSW and stakeholders, meeting monitoring and reporting requirements, and adjusting delivery to locations and populations as determined by need and operational requirements.
