Defence is seeking industry engagement to identify potential sites, including sites off the Defence estate, and to explore viable delivery and financing options to provide additional fit-for-purpose, standardised Living‑in Accommodation (LIA) for eligible ADF members in Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra. LIA is required when ADF members are travelling for duty, undertaking training, or need to stay at Defence establishments for operational or service reasons; providing accommodation that aligns with community standards supports Defence’s duty of care and its ability to attract and retain personnel.
