Health Support Services awarded a contract to Stepchange Pty Ltd (Stepchange Consultants Pty Ltd) for a Senior Network Administrator to support the Critical Health ICT Infrastructure Program within the Program Delivery Business Unit.

The contractor supported Local Area Network (LAN) services to Health Service Providers and sites, providing incident management, break‑fix, device replacement, change coordination and assigned work tasks, as well as wired and wireless advanced resolution and enhanced Wi‑Fi services for digitally enabled or wireless sites.

The role supported the Facilities workstream and administered HSS network infrastructure across the Perth metropolitan area, including installation and testing of network management software and hardware in accordance with processes and procedures, capacity management, proactive troubleshooting, and analysis and resolution of network communications hardware and software issues.

System management duties included configuring and maintaining network and security management platforms (system administration and custom scripting), monitoring utilisation of network and security communications systems, assisting the development of network and security management capabilities, preparing and presenting statistical reports on system utilisation to assist capacity planning, initiating actions to ensure systems met required service levels, maintaining technical support procedures and documentation, ensuring adherence to access policies, contributing to the design and implementation of information systems to accepted methodologies and standards, and providing technical guidance in the development of system contingency and disaster recovery plans in relation to the corporate computer environment.
