About
Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions awarded a contract to Big Axe Contracting (Big Axe Contracting Pty Ltd) for the construction of a slip lane onto the existing entry road into the Pinnacles Desert Discovery centre in Nambung National Park.
The slip lane aims to alleviate traffic during peak periods and provide priority access for Commercial Tour Operators.
Construction was restricted during Easter school holidays (6-26 April 2023) and was required to be completed by 15 June 2023.
This contract addresses seasonal traffic congestion at a popular tourist destination, with timing constraints to avoid peak visitation periods.
