About
Grains Research and Development Corporation awarded a contract to Seftons Partners Pty Ltd for delivery of the GRDC National Grower Network (NGN).
The NGN was established in 2021 as a primary stakeholder engagement mechanism to capture and prioritise constraints and opportunities to enhance the profitability of Australian grain growers.
Under the contract Seftons Partners provided the NGN platform and activities that supported meaningful two‑way engagement with grain growers and other industry stakeholders, educated stakeholders about GRDC’s role and its portfolio of past and current investments, improved GRDC’s awareness and understanding of local issues, constraints and opportunities and their costs, informed the development of NGN validation, extension and communication investments that were locally relevant and promoted on‑farm adoption (including urgent responses to seasonal issues), and helped identify desired outcomes to shape GRDC research and development investments, including variations to existing investments.
The award formalised GRDC’s use of the NGN to gather local grower input and convert identified on‑farm constraints into validation, extension and R&D priorities, emphasising on‑farm relevance and adoption in GRDC investment planning.
