About
Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to Downer EDI Engineering Power Ltd for the installation and testing of a pit, pipe and fibre optic cable system between Perth and Joondalup stations.
The scope included scrub clearing, trenching, under-boring, installation of conduits and pits, back-filling, removal of spoil, and provision of pigtails, racks, termination panels and other fixtures to complete a working optical fibre cable distribution network.
This contract supports the PTA's ongoing efforts to upgrade rail communications infrastructure, with Downer EDI being a frequent contractor for such projects.
