About

Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania awarded a contract to Temple Rural Contracting for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of up to three large prefabricated sheds to house captive Tasmanian devils for the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program.

The works extended the footprint of the Five Mile Beach Wildlife Management Facility located at 200 Pittwater Road, Seven Mile Beach, and included provision for secure perimeter fencing.

Related works specified under the contract included upgrades to access tracks, installation of perimeter security fencing and a hard stand.

The contract required that track upgrades and perimeter fencing be completed in sequence before any onsite construction of the sheds commenced, with implementation details contained in the RFQ.
