Aurora Energy awarded a contract to Eaton Industries Pty Ltd for the supply, installation and site construction of two Type 1 (T1) Telecommunication Equipment Shelters (TES) for FTTP access nodes at Smithon and Scottsdale and one Type 2 (T2) TES for a transmission node at Bell Bay as part of the Stage 1 rollout of the Tasmanian National Broadband Network.

The scope covered delivery and installation of the three TES units and construction of the three sites.

The procurement had been run as a tender that remained open for three weeks before Aurora commenced evaluation.
