About
Health Support Services awarded a contract to Talent International (Talent International Pty Ltd) for technical consultancy to support the WA Health Data Platform (WA HDP).
The work supported establishment of a system-wide shared data platform for WA Health, including the associated governance, processes and services to support scalability and sustainability.
The consultancy covered concurrent program streams: Data Ingestion and Modelling (DIM), Operating Model and Governance (OMG), and Platform Architecture and Capabilities (PAC).
Under the DIM stream, the supplier delivered ingestion, integration and modelling of select source system data to provide a single view of system demand and capacity; data was ingested and maintained to agreed service-levels; approved pipelines were transitioned to the Data Management team for support and maintenance; and analysis and design addressed ingestion of key CHE data sources.
The contract produced enterprise-level data models for reporting and dashboarding, established repeatable and sustainable ingestion patterns, and defined end-to-end data modelling processes with iterative design, feedback loops and clarified roles and dependencies.
To support these projects the position involved working in the Oracle Golden.
The award reflected a focus on combined data engineering, platform architecture and governance capabilities to deliver an enterprise health data platform, indicating a need for suppliers experienced in integrated technical delivery and operating-model design for health systems.
