Award of Specialised Residential Care Services for Children and Young People with Complex Needs

DCSSDS-SDS awarded a contract to YLO (Residential Care Services) Pty Ltd for the provision of specialised services and support, requiring eight places for children and young people with complex support needs across four outlets (YLO - Yellow, YLO - Olive, YLO - Black, and YLO - Silver).

The service must provide 24-hour support, 7 days per week, with one worker on at all times for 16 hours per day plus an eight-hour sleepover shift at each location.

Placement matching across locations can be flexible with appropriately rostered models to best respond to the needs of residents within funding limits.

The service must provide culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to ensure their cultural identity and connection to family and community is assisted and maintained.

The service will encourage children and young people to engage in education, training, or employment, and where not engaged, will support educational and/or vocational activities.

The contract value is AUD 8,648,676, procured via a limited method.
