Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts awarded a contract to Vivid Marketing Services for international marketing representation in Asia as the in‑market regional representative and ‘face’ of Tourism Tasmania across one or more key markets: Japan and Korea; Hong Kong and China; and Singapore and Malaysia.

The supplier was engaged to develop regional strategic marketing plans for the named markets; implement agreed strategies and programs in market; identify and build relationships with key trade and non‑traditional partners and work with them on marketing and promotional activities; devise and implement a digital marketing strategy; implement a PR plan and Visiting Journalist Program and integrate both into broader marketing campaigns; provide up‑to‑the‑minute market intelligence and insights into the market, travel trade and aviation industry; and represent Tourism Tasmania at in‑market industry meetings, partner meetings, trade forums and other functions as required.
