About
Health Support Services awarded a contract to OneStep Group (OneStep Group (WA) Ltd Pty) for the provision of network consultancy services in support of the Critical Health ICT Infrastructure Program (CHIIP).
CHIIP was delivering modernisation of network and infrastructure services across more than 460 metropolitan, regional and remote WA Health sites to provide a secure, resilient and scalable foundation for digital health services.
The contract supported replacement of end-of-life network and infrastructure assets, uplifted cyber security capabilities and reduced technology risk, improved reliability and availability of critical health services, enabled strategic digital health initiatives including the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program, remediated infrastructure and security control findings identified through audit and compliance activities, and supported transition to contemporary managed infrastructure and support services.
The awarded Network Consultant role played a key part in supporting WA Health's network and telecommunications services, ensured infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements, technology standards and operational objectives, and worked closely with Health Service Providers, managed service providers, vendors and technical stakeholders to provide specialist network consultancy, technical guidance and stakeholder engagement to support delivery, optimisation and governance of network and telephony services across the WA Health System.
The award aligned with CHIIP's focus on large-scale network modernisation and cyber security uplift across a distributed health estate, indicating a need for specialist consultancy capable of coordinating across Health Service Providers, managed service providers and vendor partners.
