About
Department of Communities awarded a contract to Agencies for South West Accommodation Inc.
t/a AccordWest for the provision of Family Group Homes (FGH) out of home care services.
The FGHs provide care to children and young people aged 0 to 18 years in the care of the Chief Executive Officer with medium to high needs.
Each FGH is staffed by live-in carers and accommodates up to four young people at any one time, using properties owned by the Department for Child Protection and Family Support.
This contract supports the government's child protection mandate by outsourcing specialized residential care to community-based providers, a common approach to managing high-needs cases.
