About
Health Support Services awarded a contract to Sharon Brown & Associates (Sharon Brown Pty Ltd ATF The Diesel Trust) for Senior Business Analyst services to support the WA Health Data Platform (WA HDP) Program.
The WA HDP Program was establishing a system-wide shared enterprise data platform, including associated governance, processes and services to support scalability and sustainability, and was being delivered across the Data Ingestion and Modelling (DIM), Operating Model and Governance (OMG), and Platform Architecture and Capabilities (PAC) streams.
The contracted Senior Business Analyst was required to identify, define, analyse and confirm business, functional and systems requirements; conduct thorough analysis of existing data systems, processes and workflows; collaborate with architects and technical leads to translate business requirements into data platform design specifications; develop the business requirements document for data ingestions and data models with user stories by engaging stakeholders from ISPD and SHOC; facilitate requirements analysis workshops; complete a traceability matrix linking business requirements to phase-wise deliverables; support documentation of process flow in the operational service transition agreement (OSTA); build, create and maintain process and data models to enhance business capability; and analyse complex datasets to extract meaningful insights, trends, patterns and correlations.
The award highlighted emphasis on requirements definition, governance, traceability and stakeholder engagement—core capabilities for implementing an enterprise health data platform and for aligning business and technical teams around data modelling and platform design.
