About

Department of State Development awarded a contract to PRISTINE OYSTER FARM PTY LTD for an Algal Bloom Fisheries and Aquaculture Assistance Grant that provided up to $225,000 to support an eligible fisheries or aquaculture licence holder who had been unable to catch or harvest their usual volume, had to stop operations due to extended harvest closures, or had licence fees waived.

The grant was permitted to be used to meet fixed costs and overheads, including utilities, rent, finance and interest payments.

Successful grant recipients were required to enter into a grant agreement with the Minister for Small and Family Business, administered by DSD, to receive the approved grant.

The Chief Executive, Department of State Development approved exemption from disclosure/redaction of insurance details and licence numbers in grant agreements under Section 22.4 and 22.5 of Premier and Cabinet Circular 027 on the grounds of public interest and legal risk.
