About
Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to Schlager Group (Schlager Group Pty Ltd) for construction of the Welshpool Depot new assembly workshop and expansion of undercover storage and workshop space at the PTA-owned Welshpool Depot.
The site was utilised by the Network and Infrastructure (N&I) Signals team for storage, maintenance, fabrication and repair of signalling equipment and comprised a large open area primarily for storage of cabling drums, boom gates and other large items, plus several enclosed, weather-protected areas complete with industrial racking.
The contract addressed the identified opportunity to expand the site to allow for enhanced operations and increased productivity through enlargement of undercover storage and workshop facilities.
