Delegated Child Safety Authority Services in Caloundra, Maroochydore and Gympie

DCYJMA awarded a contract to REFOCUS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for the provision of specialized services and support to implement delegated authority arrangements under the Child Protection Act 1999.

The contract, valued at AUD 1,298,782 and procured via a limited method, covers the ongoing planning and delivery of practice responses and administration required to support functions and powers delegated to the CEO of REFOCUS, including connection functions (sections 87 and 88(2)), reunification (section 82(2) placement with parent), and case planning (Chapter 2, Part 3A Divisions 1-5).

Services are to be delivered in the geographic catchment areas of the Caloundra, Maroochydore and Gympie Child Safety Service Centres, with flexibility for case-by-case support outside these areas.
