About

The Department of State Development awarded a contract to the International Specialised Skills Institute for the delivery of the Elevate International Research Fellowships pilot program, valued at AUD 600,000.

The program aimed to strengthen the quality and leadership of South Australia's vocational education and training (VET) workforce by enabling experienced educators to engage with international best practice, apply insights locally, and drive innovation.

It also supported applied research and targeted knowledge sharing aligned with South Australian priorities, generating practical tools and evidence to improve teaching, assessment, and industry engagement.

The pilot was designed to produce robust evidence to inform future Fellowship programs with an international research focus, including insights into effectiveness, efficiency, and system-level impact.
