Family Wellbeing Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families

DCSSDS awarded a contract to Yulu Burri Ba Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health for the delivery of specialised services and support under the Family Wellbeing Services (FWS) program.

The service provides a coordinated mix of culturally safe services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families experiencing vulnerability, including holistic needs assessment, case management, advocacy, parenting skills development, clinical and therapeutic counselling, and community leadership activities.

The contract, valued at AUD 4,164,575 and procured through a limited method, also requires work with families engaged in the child protection system to address safety concerns and support reunification or intensive in-home intervention.
