DCSSDS awarded a contract to Save The Children Australia for the provision of a staffed mobile play van delivering the Play2Learn early intervention family support model to vulnerable and transient families in caravan parks and adjacent community sites.

The service enhances social, emotional, learning and developmental skills, provides parenting information, models appropriate behaviours, and links families to broader community services.

It operates six mobile playschemes per week over 50 weeks per year, with locations adjusted in consultation with Investment and Partnerships, Brisbane and Moreton Bay Region.

The contract value is AUD 375,333, procured via a limited method under the Social Services category.
