Award of Specialised Support Services for Children and Young People with Complex Needs

DCSSDS awarded a contract to Relationships Australia (Qld) Limited for specialised services and support, including five Immediate Response places for children and young people with complex support needs at any one time, time-limited for up to 12 weeks.

The service provides 24-hour support, 7 days per week, with two workers on at all times for 16 hours per day, plus an eight-hour sleepover shift and one awake shift, and extra staff support during school holidays, weekends, and public holidays.

It also provides culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to maintain cultural identity and connection to family and community, and encourages engagement in education, training, or employment, supporting educational and/or vocational activities where needed.

The contract value is AUD 6,372,554, procured via a limited method.
