DCSSDS awarded a contract to Anglicare - Central Queensland Limited for the provision of specialised services and support for children and young people with complex needs.

The service outlet provides four places at any one time, with 24/7 support including two workers on duty 16 hours per day, an eight-hour sleepover shift, and one awake shift, plus extra staff during school holidays, weekends, and public holidays.

The service ensures culturally safe support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to maintain cultural identity and connection to family and community, and encourages engagement in education, training, or employment.
